Ingredients :
ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND POLENTA, the ingredients:
#1 Italian Sausage with Polenta and a 3 Cheese Marinara
2-3 tbsp olive oil
4-6 Italian Sausages
1 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves minced
pre-made marinara sauce with herbs
10-12 slices of store bought polenta
3 tbsp diced Fontina cheese
6-8 slices Mozzarella
Paramasan cheese
#2 Heirloom Tomato Salad
1/2 lb heirloom tomatoes, sliced
a big handful of whole basil leaves
balsamic vinegar
#3 Traxx Crab Cakes
4 Crab Cakes (see Traxx Crab Cake Video)
#4 Sweet Melon with Anise Seeds
1/2 melon, peeled and sliced
1/2 tsp anise seeds
2 tbsp anise flavored liquour
Execution :
ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND POLENTA, execution:
#1 Italian Sausage with Polenta and a 3 Cheese Marinara
1. Brown the sausages in the olive oil.
2. Remove them from pan and set aside on a plate.
3. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook over medium heat until transluscent and just beginning to color.
4. Return the sausages to the pan and cover with the marinara. Simmer, uncovered about 1/2 hour.
5. Turn off the heat and let the sausages cool completely.
6. Line the edge of the pan with the polenta slices.
7. Top with the Fontina and Mozzarella. Grate with Parmesan.
8. Bake at 400 degrees about 1/2 hour, until brown and bubbly.
9. Serve hot or at room temperature.
#2 Heirloom Tomato Salad
1. Slice the tomatoes into bite size chunks.
2. Toss in basil leaves
3. Dress with balsamic
